Photo Diary: The First WeekendOn Friday we did a little bit of a guided romp around Luxembourg City and let me tell you those Luxembourgish people are TALL AF. It's out of control. Is it because they're pure-bred Euro? Or is there something in the water here? Because I want it for my own benefit.

T-minus one point five days until I leave America behind me in favor of the great gig in the sky (an airplane), and shortly after, Luxembourg. Why Luxembourg, you ask? Why not?
Pre-departure is the pits. I have to buy all this nonsensical precautionary gear, like an identity theft credit card case and little mini bottles of shampoo so the TSA doesn't throw me in airport jail. I also have to fit four months worth of clothing etcetera in one suitcase and one carry-on and that is proving to be way more difficult than I originally thought it would be, because yes, I do need six creme-colored sweaters, because they're all different lengths and knits and shades, and I need both brown and black boots. They give off completely different vibes. Some days I feel like brown booting it, and some days I feel more black. This is completely reasonable of me and I feel no shame discussing it here. I can leave other things behind, like textbooks. Kidding! Ha Ha. The other thing about packing that makes it a delicate situation is the fact that I'm really trying to be more Parisian while I'm over there, so I have to be careful not to pack too many light-colored things or use too many white strips or heavy jewelry. There is a lot to remember here, but I don't want to be obnoxiously American while abroad. I want to be adorably, charmingly américaine. Tu sais? |
